Cosmetology Program

(1,600-Hours / 50 Units)

  • The Cosmetology Program currently requires 1,600 clock-hours of instruction and is comprised of five levels total to prepare graduates to pass the state exam for licensure & for an entry level position in the competitive beauty industry.
  • Our quarterly report of student pass rate is impressive and can check our scores on the California Board of Barbering & Cosmetology website – Examination Rates by Schools: http://www.barbercosmo.ca.gov/schools/schls_rslts.shtml
  • At the completion of all 5 levels in Cosmetology at Fullerton College, with a minimum grade of “C” or higher in each level, you have accumulated units at the community college that can be used toward earning an Associate in Science degree in Cosmetology.
  • The Trendsetters is the cosmetology club that organizes the cosmetology students involvement of Fullerton College campus activities.

Instructional Techniques Program

(600-Hours / 14 Units)

  • The Instructional Techniques Program currently requires 600 clock-hours of instruction and is comprised of five courses total to prepare licensed professionals for their future teaching position.
  • At the completion of all 5 courses in Instructional Techniques at Fullerton College, with a minimum grade of “C” or higher in each course, you have accumulated units at the community college that can be used toward earning an Associate in Science degree in Cosmetology Instructor.
